Ministarstvo vanjskih poslova Italije, putem ambasade u Bosni i Hercegovini, organizira međunarodnu internet konferenciju na temu „Twenty Five Years Later: Dayton Agreement and the European Pathway of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, koja će se održati 18. decembra od 15:00 do 18:30 sa streamingom putem interneta na Facebook stranici ambasade: ItalyinBiH.

Uvodničari će biti italijanski ministar vanjskih poslova Luigi Di Maio, ministrica vanjskih poslova BiH Bisera Turković, povjerenik EU za proširenje Oliver Varhelyi i povjerenica Vijeća Evrope za ljudska prava Dunja Mijatović.

Konferencija će obuhvatiti dvije sesije i fokusirat će se na dva glavna područja koja su trenutno od interesa: koje je porijeklo i opseg koncepta „konstitutivnih naroda“ koji se nalazi u Daytonskom sporazumu? Kako taj koncept može stupiti u interakciju sa pravima EU kako bi se osiguralo da se prava građana jednako poštuju i da BiH može postati efikasan, uspješan član EU porodice?

Svi panelisti dolaze iz različitih akademskih sredina iz BiH, regije Balkana i ostatka Evrope i podijelit će uvide iz svog područja stručnosti.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, through its Embassy Bosnia and Herzegovina, is organizing an international online conference on “Twenty Five Years Later: Dayton Agreement and the European Pathway of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which will take place on the 18th of December from 15:00 to 18:30 with online streaming on the Facebook page of the Embassy, at ItalyinBiH.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković, EU Enlargement Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi and Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatović will give introductory remarks.

The proceedings will cover two sessions and will focus on two main areas of current interest, namely: what are the origins and scope of the concept of “constituent peoples” found in the Dayton agreement? How can that concept interact with EU law to make sure that citizens’ rights and equally are respected and that BiH can become an effective, successful member of the EU family?

All panelists come from a rich variety of academic backgrounds in BiH, the Balkan region and the rest of Europe and will share insights from their area of expertise.
