Il Ministero degli Affari Esteri italiano, attraverso la sua Ambasciata in Bosnia ed Erzegovina, organizza una conferenza internazionale online intitolata “Venticinque anni dopo: Accordi di Dayton e il percorso europeo della Bosnia ed Erzegovina”, che si terr\u00e0 il 18 dicembre dalle 15:00 alle 18:30 con streaming online sulla pagina Facebook dell’Ambasciata: ItalyinBiH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Interverranno il Ministro degli Affari Esteri italiano Luigi Di Maio, il Ministro degli Affari Esteri della Bosnia Erzegovina Bisera Turkovi\u0107, il Commissario Europeo per l’Allargamento Oliv\u00e9r V\u00e1rhelyi ed il Commissario per i Diritti Umani del Consiglio d’Europa Dunja Mijatovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

I lavori saranno articolati in due sessioni e si concentreranno su due principali aree di attuale interesse: quali sono le origini e la portata del concetto di “popoli costituenti” contenuto nell’accordo di Dayton? Come pu\u00f2 questo concetto interagire con il diritto dell’UE per garantire che i diritti dei cittadini siano ugualmente rispettati e che la Bosnia-Erzegovina possa diventare un membro effettivo e di successo della famiglia europea?<\/p>\n

Tutti i relatori provengono da una ricca variet\u00e0 di esperienze accademiche dalla Bosnia-Erzegovina, dalla regione dei Balcani e del resto d’Europa e condivideranno gli approfondimenti dalla loro area di competenza.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, through its Embassy Bosnia and Herzegovina, is organizing an international online conference on \u201cTwenty Five Years Later: Dayton Agreement and the European Pathway of Bosnia and Herzegovina\u201d, which will take place on the 18th of December from 15:00 to 18:30 with online streaming on the Facebook page of the Embassy, at ItalyinBiH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovi\u0107, EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliv\u00e9r V\u00e1rhelyi and Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovi\u0107 will give introductory remarks.<\/p>\n

The proceedings will cover two sessions and will focus on two main areas of current interest, namely: what are the origins and scope of the concept of \u201cconstituent peoples\u201d found in the Dayton agreement? How can that concept interact with EU law to make sure that citizens’ rights and equally are respected and that BiH can become an effective, successful member of the EU family?<\/p>\n

All panelists come from a rich variety of academic backgrounds in BiH, the Balkan region and the rest of Europe and will share insights from their area of expertise.<\/p>\n
